What is the Building Energy Performance Labeling Program?

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) are developing a new building labeling program to grade buildings on their energy use.  The program, set to be released in 2010, will compare the amount of energy the building was designed to consume with the actual building’s consumption.  As the pressure for more buildings to provide energy use performance numbers increases, Noveda Technologies’ real-time energy monitoring solution accurately monitors and tracks energy related data through its EnergyFlow and Facilimetrix monitoring software to ensure actual energy performance remains within design specification tolerance, adhering to the proposed ASHRAE grading system.
